Catching up on posting dc's taiwanese correspondence...chronological style

Dear loved ones,



Holy Crap! I'm in Taiwan. The flight was grueling and smelly as expected. I got in early and had to kill a few hours before checking in. I bought an English paper and a Starbucks coffee without problem. I was very proud of myself. I killed time picking random places out of the Lonely Planet guide and trying to find them. I had an interesting dinner of something that resembled Sesame Chicken, but it was very pink and full of cartlidge I think. Also found myself in a bit of a red light district and got suckered into sitting in a bar with a much older woman dressed in a heavy overcoat. She tried to steal my hat, and I had the most expensive Budweiser I've ever had before I escaped and retreated back to my hotel.

My roomate is from Cornwall, England. The other teachers I've met so far are from Philadelphia, South Africa, and Canada respectively.

I'm in an internet cafe at the moment and there are an abundance of such places, so communicating should be no problem. Write and let me know how things are in the past. I miss it.
