	obligatory post talking about the new year January is a walking coma. Everything slows and shuts down while the brain takes over, stitching together wounds, making lost connections, mustering enough preparation and enthusiasm to get the flesh around it up and at it yet again. After the gauntlet of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, January is recuperating from the successive blows to bank accounts, sleep cycles and blood alcohol levels. 	vanishing act Gray had openly talked before about killing himself by jumping off the Staten Island Ferry, which he rode often just to relax. On the day before he went missing, he had been observed by ferry staff placing his wallet on a bench and wandering ominously over to the railing. 	100 percent sloughing By all accounts, Sarah Yeargain, shouldn't be alive. But she is and some are calling it a medical miracle. Three weeks ago, the skin on Yeargain's body began sloughing off. 	art is the voice of god and he is always speaking and he is never wrong First Jim DeRogatis writes this review of Ryan Adams' show in Chicago. Then Adams calls DeRogatis' answering machine and leaves him this message, a tirade as deluded as it is sad. DeRogatis then posts it and Ryan Adams responds with a rambling, illiterate screed which is then roundly mocked by WFMU's Tom Scharpling.
